TOURNAMENT FORMAT & RULES
- All round-robin matches to be played between 24 November 2015-25 February 2016
- The top players/teams competing in the men’s singles, ladies singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles from each group will progress to knock-out rounds, beginning late February 2016. The improver mixed singles final will feature the top two players from the group matches.
- The winning teams will contest the final on Saturday, 19 March 2016
- In non-Handicap events, all round-robin matches are the best of three tie-break sets. The third set will be a Champions’ tie-break (first to 10 points, two points clear at 8/8)
- In Handicap events, all round-robin matches will be the best of three sets. If both players agree, the third set can be a Champions’ tie-break. In the event of scratch handicaps, the round-robin matches are the best of three tie-breaks sets. The third set will be a Champions’ tie-break (see above).
- All round-robin matches can be played on acrylic, artificial clay or grass courts (if undecided, spin a racquet for choice of surface)
- Participants organise their own matches, suppling new or good quality tennis balls
- The court booking system must be used for acrylic and artificial clay courts on Monday-Friday 4:00-5:30 p.m.; 5:30-7:00 p.m.; 7:00-8:30 p.m.; 8:30-10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.; 10:30 a.m.-12 noon; 12 noon-1:30 p.m.
- Floodlight tokens can be purchased from the bar at a cost of £6 (1 hr, 40 minutes)
