Silence of the lamb (aka Don's hog roast)

Doctor Don Lecter makes his final preparations for the slaughter, as 60+ tennis members and their guests do their best to revive the French winemaking industry. One member got the event confused with Ascot (picture below), but all in all a great time was had by all (except poor Larry.....). To see more photos click here. .... and if that's not enough, you can also access them via the photo gallery (side bar on the left).

"I do wish we could chat longer, but... I'm having an old friend for dinner"......

Tea Rota

In response to comments from some of you about difficulties experienced finding the tea rota on the website (feeble excuse), I've made it clearer by adding a specific reference to it on the sidebar on the left (with club play). So no more excuses, but more home made cakes and (weather permitting) Don's Dorset Knobs....

Beckenham success in the Kent over 45's

The Kent winter over 45's mens doubles was a unique event this year as Beckenham provided all 4 of the finalists. A close first set hinged on Clive Best holding serve at 4 all before he and John Watton beat Mus Kemal and David Payne to take the trophy.

Photo Gallery

A new set of photos has been added to the photo gallery, showing pictures of the men's first team playing at home in the National Club League (NCL). Some useful tips for us mere mortals - watch the ball, bend your knees, and smack that ball (with follow through, of course). The next home match in the NCL is against Roehampton on Sunday the 18th May starting at midday. See the fixtures page for details of all inter club matches this summer.

There is still plenty of space in the gallery for your photos, so if you have any pictures from competitions or functions at the club or have anything of historical interest and would like them to be added to the site, please let me know.
