DESCRIPTION:Get involved in the Autumn-Winter Championships at Beckenham! Whatever your level\, the singles and doubles tournaments are open to all adult players. \nMake use of our seven floodlight courts – four acrylic and three artificial clay – during the autumn and winter seasons and submit your entries to no more than FOUR of the following tournaments\, which will run from 1 November 2015 to a Finals’ Day on 19 March 2016 (reserve day: 26 March 2016). \nThe entry deadline is 25 October 2015. \nThe entry fee is £3 per person\, per event. \nYou can pay by cheque to ‘S E Buddell Tennis a/c’. Please submit your entry form and payment to James Buddell or John Pedevilla\, a committee member or to the club office – marking the envelope ‘Tennis Tournament’. Do not hand it into the bar. \nThe Referees\, James Buddell and John Pedevilla\, reserve the right to cancel an event should they receive fewer than SIX singles or FOUR doubles team entries. \nDependent on the level of entries per event\, the tournament will be a round robin format\, followed by a knock-out stage prior to Finals’ Day. \n

SUMMARY:Singles Match Play Afternoon
DESCRIPTION:Started in late 2013\, the online singles ladder has brought a completely new dimension to traditional club tennis and has really caught the imagination of those who want more competitive tennis. It’s also had an added benefit for members to meet others that they perhaps wouldn’t normally come across in club sessions. \nThe ladder runs year-round and there are also match play sessions at the end of each month. Join more than 85 players who take part by getting in contact with John Pedevilla or a member of the committee for more information. \nA singles ladder match consists of two tie-break sets\, followed by a Champions’ tie-break (first to 10 points or two points clear). \nCOMING UP: OCTOBER 2015 \nSunday\, 11 October – Men’s Masters (Top 8 challengers of 2015)\nSunday\, 18 October – Ladies Masters (Top 8 challengers of 2015)\nSunday\, 25 October – Singles Match Play Afternoon  (Open to every adult player) \n
