At Beckenham Tennis Club it is our policy to help any member who wishes to improve their game. We cater for all abilities from complete beginner to top level team player, and teach all ages from 5 year-olds upwards.
The Goodacre Tournament will be held from Monday 21st July 2008 to Saturday 26th July 2008. For futher details and an application form click here.
The tennis club will be running holiday tennis programmes for 5-10 and 11-16 year olds over the Whitsun (27th-30th May) and summer holidays (weekly sessions from 28th July to 25th August). Beckenham Tennis Club runs a very popular and thriving junior coaching programme, which starts at age 4 with mini tennis. There are three levels of mini tennis: red, orange, and green. At all mini tennis stages we use special low compression balls to help children progress quickly and gain confidence. Mini tennis sessions are run throughout the week after school hours and on Saturday mornings. Our current coaching timetables are listed below. Please contact either coach directly or via the club office to enquire about current availability.
If the weather prevents us from playing outside then mini tennis lessons take place in the squash courts. Once children have progressed through mini tennis, usually by age 10 or 11 depending on ability, they are coached on a full size court using regular tennis balls.
Fees are payable termly once the lessons have begun. All children taking part will receive an individual bill with term dates and fees. Places must be booked in advance by contacting Clive Best on the number above or via the club office on 020 8650 0266 during office hours.
Our programme starts from the age of 4 years, with Mini Tennis Red. Mini Tennis Red is played on one half of a normal court using portable nets with the tramlines as base lines.

Beckenham Tennis Club organises a Junior Club Evening for 11-17 year-old members. Sessions are held every Friday from 4:30 to 6:30pm.
The coaches at Beckenham Tennis Club offer individual private coaching or group lessons to junior or senior members. Contact either coach directly to enquire about availability and to arrange a lesson.
